Muzaffarapur: A heavy downpour forced the cancellation of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s scheduled public meeting in Saraiya under Paroo constituency on Saturday. Refusing to let the weather dampen the campaign, Kumar instead took to the streets, leading an impromptu roadshow that drew a large and enthusiastic crowd.
Accompanied by state minister Kedar Gupta and NDA’s Rashtriya Lok Morcha candidate Madan Chaudhary, the chief minister greeted supporters and urged them to spread his message among local residents. At one point, he stopped near Saraiya Moti Chowk to acknowledge cheering crowds, garlanded the NDA candidate, and continued walking amid a sea of umbrellas and slogans.
“People of Bihar have not forgotten the days of jungle raj,” Kumar told his supporters, asserting that voters would back the NDA government based on the state’s ongoing development. He said the pace of progress must be accelerated by re-electing the alliance.
