Man Ends Life After Wife Skips Morning Tea

Muzaffarpur / Patna : A man in Muzaffarpur, has died by suicide after an argument with his wife over morning tea, police said.

Sonu Kumar, 35, was found hanging in his home in Kolhua Paigambarpur village, under Ahiyapur police station, on Friday. His wife, Bulbul Kumari, told police that Kumar had asked her to prepare tea in the morning, but she had remained asleep. When she later left the house to buy meat, she forgot about his request. On returning home, she found him hanging. Neighbours rushed to help and took Kumar to a hospital, but doctors declared him dead on arrival.

Ahiyapur police said they had registered an “unnatural death” case and were investigating. A forensic team had visited the scene.

Bulbul told police that Kumar had attempted suicide twice before over minor disputes. She suspected he had been struggling with his mental health.
