Patna: The vibrant festival of Basant Panchami painted Patna with hues of celebration on Wednesday, undeterred even by the gentle drizzle. Amidst the raindrops, faith and worship continued to flourish as devotees across the city marked the auspicious occasion with fervor.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar graced the residence of former state Chief Information Commissioner AK Sinha in IAS Colony, participating in the Saraswati Puja ceremony, invoking blessings from the goddess of knowledge.

Amidst the downpour, crowds thronged pagodas and temples across the city, engaging in rituals and exchanging blessings. Notably, Minister Prem Kumar also attended the Saraswati Puja ceremony organized at the IGIMS campus, adding to the festive fervor.

From educational institutions to street corners, statues of Goddess Saraswati adorn Patna’s landscape, symbolizing the auspiciousness of the occasion. Cultural programs resonate through the city, fostering a sense of community and celebration.

Students from Patna University have transformed hostels like Jackson, Minto, and Government Ayurvedic College Buddhamurthy into vibrant hubs of festivity. Adorned with intricate decorations and elaborate statues, these hostels exude a captivating aura, drawing visitors in droves.

At Minto Hostel, a longstanding tradition of worshiping Mother Saraswati continues, with students capturing moments with the idol through selfies. Similarly, Jackson Hostel witnesses a grand spectacle as students meticulously decorate the idol, attracting throngs of onlookers.

Basant Panchami holds significant cultural and religious significance, heralded as the most auspicious day of the year.
