Bhojpuri Music Maestro Rajnish Mishra Wins Prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Film Foundation Award for Best Director

Patna: Rajnish Mishra, who has brought melodious tunes to the Bhojpuri music world, has been awarded the ‘Dadasaheb Phalke Film Foundation Award’ for Best Director for his film “Mai – The Pride of Bhojpuri.”
This award was presented to him during a grand ceremony held at an auditorium in Juhu, Mumbai, by Darshan Kumar, famed for “The Kashmir Files” and “Mary Kom,” and Abhay Sinha, President of the Indian Pictures Producers Association.
Rajnish Mishra expressed his gratitude upon receiving the award. He said, “I thank the Dadasaheb Phalke Film Foundation for considering me worthy of this award. This award has increased my responsibility even more. Just being associated with this name is an honor.”
Rajnish Mishra comes from Kehunia in Narkatiaganj, West Champaran, Bihar. His father’s name is Chandrabhushan Mishra. He began his film journey with music direction and later made the film “Mehndi Laga Ke Rakhna” with Khesari Lal Yadav, which changed the approach to filmmaking in the Bhojpuri film industry, leading to the production of many exceptional films. Besides “Mai – The Pride of Bhojpuri,” he has made successful and blockbuster films like “Mehndi Laga Ke Rakhna,” “Sehra Bandh Ke Aaunga,” and “Darling.” Many of his films have received acclaim at both national and international awards.
