Government Focus on Skill Development
Addressing the inauguration, Minister Arun Shankar Prasad said the job fair is a platform connecting youth aspirations with employment opportunities. He said the initiative aligns with the state government’s Saat Nishchay-3 programme, aimed at skill development, dignified employment and improved income opportunities.
He added that expanding opportunities in the health sector through such fairs would help youth build stable career pathways.
Systematic Placement Process
Secretary Kaushal Kishore said this is the first large-scale, centrally organised job fair dedicated to the healthcare sector with structured online registration and scheduling.
He said the department plans to organise similar sector-specific employment fairs six to seven times a year to improve job access for youth across Bihar.

Advice to Candidates
Kishore advised candidates to approach private sector jobs with patience, noting that salaries and career growth improve with experience and performance. He said most applicants were freshers and encouraged them to prioritise learning and skill development.
He also highlighted growing demand for nursing and caregiving professionals in Europe and Gulf countries, indicating expanding international opportunities.
Participation and Selection
On the first day, over 13,000 candidates registered their attendance at the fair, while 2,438 were selected by participating employers.
The fair, which will continue till May 27, is expected to see participation from candidates across all districts of Bihar. Officials said the initiative aims to strengthen employability and expand access to both domestic and international job markets.
