Patna: The Bihar government has completed the roster clearance process for the fourth phase of teacher recruitment, paving the way for the appointment of around 30,000 teachers across the state.
Officials said a proposal based on vacancy data received from all 38 districts is being finalised and will be sent to the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) after January 14. The appointments will be made through the BPSC under the state’s teacher recruitment process.
The decision was taken at a meeting held on Monday at the Madan Mohan Jha Auditorium of the education department, attended by district programme officers from across Bihar. According to an official from the Directorate of Secondary Education who was present at the meeting, district-wise vacancy details have now been received and are under assessment.
Roster clearance reports submitted by the districts were earlier forwarded to the general administration department, which flagged discrepancies in several cases. These issues were raised during the meeting, officials said, leading to corrections for some districts, while others have been given additional time to rectify errors before the requisition is formally sent to the BPSC.
