Patna: The Bihar government has approved the implementation of the Mukhyamantri Pratigya (CM-Pratigya) scheme under its Saat Nishchay-2 programme to empower youth with advanced skills, workplace readiness, and leadership training. The cabinet has sanctioned Rs 40.69 crore for the scheme’s first phase in the financial year 2025-26, while administrative approval for Rs 685.76 crore has been given for the next five years till 2030-31.
Labour Resources Minister Santosh Kumar Singh said the Mukhyamantri Pratigya scheme will not only provide employment opportunities but also motivate the youth to play leadership roles in national development. The programme will focus on technical and practical training, entrepreneurship development, career counselling, and preparation for national and international competitions.
According to Labour Resources Department Secretary Deepak Anand, the Mukhyamantri Pratigya scheme targets youth aged 18 to 28 who have received training or certification under skill development programmes, or have educational qualifications of at least Class 12 pass, ITI, diploma, graduation, or post-graduation. Eligible youth will get internships in MSME units, public sector undertakings, and various government institutions located within Bihar.
The internship duration will vary from a minimum of three months to a maximum of 12 months, based on the requirements of industries and institutions. Beneficiaries will receive direct benefit transfers into their bank accounts, with the monthly amount subject to revision based on performance and feedback in the first year.
Officials said the Mukhyamantri Pratigya scheme reflects the government’s vision of preparing Bihar’s youth for leadership, public service, and entrepreneurship by providing state-of-the-art, employment-oriented skills as per market demand.
