Patna: All 30 Members of Parliament from Bihar belonging to the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi on Monday, days after the alliance’s sweeping victory in the state assembly elections. The MPs thanked the Prime Minister for what they called his “effective and extensive” election campaign, which they believe played a crucial role in securing the mandate.
The polls, held in two phases last month, saw the NDA return to power with a resounding majority. During the campaign, PM Modi addressed multiple rallies across Bihar, a factor alliance MPs said significantly bolstered public support.
JD (U) MP Ramprit Mandal, who represents Jhanjharpur, told reporters that the delegation wished to personally thank the Prime Minister for his efforts. “We have won more seats than expected,” he said, adding that the MPs sought PM Modi’s guidance during the meeting, which was held at 10.30am.

Sanjay Kumar Jha, another JD (U) MP, wrote on X that he and fellow NDA MPs met PM Modi at the Parliament House complex to congratulate him on the 2025 victory and thank Bihar’s voters for their continued trust. He said he was confident the next five years under what he called the “double-engine government” would be a period of development, better governance and “new achievements” for the state.
The meeting is being viewed within political circles as a sign of the NDA’s efforts to consolidate its position and maintain close coordination between its state and national leadership following the election.
