Patna: Bihar’s political landscape is heating up as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) intensifies its campaign following the conclusion of the Chhath festival. Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to hold three rallies on Wednesday, addressing public meetings in the Alinagar constituency of Darbhanga, Rosera in Samastipur, and Bhagwanpur in Begusarai.
Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will also hit the campaign trail, speaking at rallies in Haighat, Barh, and Chhapra in Darbhanga. These events mark a continuation of the BJP’s vigorous outreach in support of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), following Shah’s joint appearances with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Siwan and Munger on October 24.
Prime Minister Modi’s Bihar itinerary has been confirmed from October 30 to November 7. After a five-month gap, he will lead a roadshow in Patna on November 2, covering the Kumhrar and Bankipur assembly constituencies. PM Modi is also scheduled to hold rallies across the state on November 2 and 3, with additional public events in Muzaffarpur and Chhapra on October 30. Further visits are planned for November 6 and 7.
The first phase of voting is slated for November 6, with campaigning concluding on November 4, while the second phase will take place on November 11, ending on November 9. With just under two weeks remaining between the Parana festival and the close of campaigning for the second phase, the NDA is stepping up efforts to connect with voters across Bihar’s constituencies.
