Patna: The Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) – LJP-R marked its foundation day on Friday, but National President and Union Food Processing Minister Chirag Paswan was unable to attend the celebrations in Patna due to health concerns.
Chirag Paswan, who had planned to travel from Delhi Airport to Patna for the event at Bapu Auditorium, returned to his residence after experiencing health issues, according to Bihar in-charge Arun Bharti. Despite his absence, he addressed the party’s silver jubilee celebrations online, sharing his vision and gratitude with party leaders and workers.
Speaking virtually, Chirag emphasized the party’s continued commitment to governance and public welfare: “We have to put our manifesto into practice. We have to strengthen our organization.” He also expressed appreciation for the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, noting the NDA’s significant electoral successes in Bihar. “All 19 of our MLAs will work tirelessly to address public problems,” he added.
The foundation day celebrations were attended by LJP-R MPs, MLAs, and organizational officials, who gathered to mark the party’s achievements. The LJP-R performed strongly in recent elections, winning 19 of 29 contested Assembly seats in 2025 and securing five Lok Sabha seats in 2024, reinforcing its position as a key NDA ally in Bihar.
