Patna: Patna witnessed a literary evening steeped in language and rhythm as Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna (CIMP), in collaboration with Sadbhavna Samiti, hosted a Kavi Sammelan at its auditorium. The gathering, supported by the State Bank of India, aimed to promote and celebrate the Hindi language.
The event was inaugurated in the presence of Food Corporation of India chairman Ashutosh Agnihotri, an IAS officer, who attended as chief guest. Agnihotri himself recited several of his own Hindi compositions, including verses on Lord Shiva and Karna, which drew resounding applause for their lyrical intensity and spiritual depth.

The audience was spellbound by Ramayan Dhar Dwivedi of Ayodhya and Sanjeev Mukesh of Delhi, who delivered powerful and emotionally charged poetry. Dwivedi’s compositions encouraged resilience — “Remain gentle in life, but never weak” — while Mukesh’s verses blended cultural pride with social commentary, underscoring Hindi’s role as the identity of Hindustan.
Mukesh’s series Gaon Ka Ladka (The Village Boy) particularly struck a chord, evoking nostalgia and rural pride. Dwivedi opened with a Saraswati Vandana and followed with inspirational songs, while Mukesh’s mix of muktaks and folk-inspired songs added to the vibrancy of the evening.

The gathering concluded with a vote of thanks from CIMP’s chief administrative officer, Kumod Kumar. Dignitaries including Prof Vibhas Kumar and Aditinandan from Bihar Sanskritik Jagran were in attendance, cementing the Sammelan as both a cultural celebration and a reaffirmation of Hindi’s enduring literary power.
