Patna: Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar inspected several major road projects under construction in Patna, directing officials to ensure that the work is completed within the stipulated time frame and to required standards.
During his inspection, he reviewed the widening and construction work on Nehru Path, from Rupaspur Canal to Saguna More, including the underground drainage system being developed on both sides of the road. Officials briefed him on the progress of the project and the timelines for its completion.
The chief minister also examined the ongoing connectivity work between the Digha–AIIMS Patliputra Road and Nehru Path near Rupaspur Canal Road. He was informed about efforts to improve links between Patliputra railway station, Nehru Path and Ashok Rajpath, which are expected to play a key role in easing traffic movement across the city.

In addition, CM inspected the beautification work being carried out on JP Ganga Path near the Digha roundabout. Stressing the importance of quality execution, he said the projects would significantly improve traffic flow and provide relief to commuters once completed.

“The completion of these works will help ensure smoother movement of vehicles and reduce traffic congestion in Patna,” he said.

Those present during the inspection included water resources and parliamentary affairs minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, the principal secretary to the chief minister Deepak Kumar, road construction department secretary Pankaj Kumar Pal, secretary to the chief minister Dr Chandrashekhar Singh, Patna district magistrate Dr Thiyagarajan SM, and other senior officials.
