New Delhi/Patna: A senior delegation from Google India met Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary at Bihar Bhawan in New Delhi on Wednesday to discuss potential collaboration in education, healthcare and agriculture, as the state seeks to accelerate its digital transformation agenda.
The delegation was led by Chandu Thota, Vice President of Google India.
According to officials, the meeting focused on exploring opportunities for technological collaboration and strengthening digital infrastructure and innovation across key sectors in Bihar.
Focus On Education, Health And Agriculture
During the discussions, both sides explored the potential use of technology-driven solutions to improve public service delivery and support development initiatives in education, healthcare and agriculture.
Officials said the talks formed part of Bihar’s broader efforts to leverage emerging technologies and partnerships with leading global technology companies to enhance governance and economic growth.

Bihar Invites Google To Establish GCC
Chaudhary invited Google to consider establishing a Global Capability Center (GCC) in Bihar under the state’s recently announced Bihar Global Capability Center Policy 2026.
The policy aims to attract technology firms, business service centres and innovation-driven enterprises to the state by providing an enabling ecosystem for investment and operations.
Officials said the proposal was presented as part of Bihar’s strategy to position itself as an emerging destination for technology-led investment and employment generation.
Towards A Digital Development Partnership
Both parties expressed interest in exploring avenues for long-term cooperation and agreed to work towards a stronger partnership aimed at supporting Bihar’s digital development goals.
The discussions also touched on opportunities to leverage technology and innovation to improve service delivery, build digital capabilities and support economic growth in the state.
Abhay Kumar Singh, Secretary of the Information Technology Department, was also present during the meeting.
The engagement comes as Bihar seeks to expand its technology ecosystem and attract greater participation from global technology companies through policy reforms and targeted investment initiatives.
