Patna: The Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), Government of India, in collaboration with the Government of Bihar, will host a two-day national conference on “Holistic Development of Districts” in Patna on September 11–12. The conference will bring together over 200 delegates, including district magistrates, senior officials, and policymakers, to showcase award-winning governance initiatives and discuss inclusive, transparent, and transformative development.
The event will highlight Prime Minister’s Award-winning projects for 2023 and 2024, along with innovative governance achievements from across states and districts. Bihar will present pioneering initiatives such as Jeevika’s “Didi Ki Rasoi”, “Lakhpati Didi”, reservation for women in panchayats and jobs, the Right to Public Grievance Redressal, digital governance platforms, and holistic district models of Nalanda and Begusarai.
Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary will inaugurate the conference on September 11, while Union Minister Jitendra Singh will address the gathering as chief guest. The sessions will feature 22 speakers presenting best practices in service delivery and citizen welfare. The conference will conclude with field visits to Bodh Gaya, Nalanda, and Vaishali, giving delegates an opportunity to experience Bihar’s cultural and developmental heritage.
