Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inspected the under-construction model hospital at the Guru Govind Singh Sadar Hospital premises in Patna City on Saturday, directing officials to finish the project quickly and make it functional.
The hospital, designed as a five-storey facility with 100 beds, will be equipped with modern healthcare infrastructure to improve patient care in the region. During the inspection, officials briefed the chief minister on the progress of the construction and confirmed that state-of-the-art facilities would be included.
CM Nitish instructed authorities to install solar panels on the hospital’s roof and emphasised the need to accelerate the pace of construction. He said the completion of the hospital would provide major relief to local residents by offering better treatment options closer to home.
The inspection was attended by senior state officials, including Health Department Secretary Lokesh Kumar Singh, Patna Division Commissioner Chandrashekhar Singh, District Magistrate Thiyagarajan S.M., and Patna’s Senior Superintendent of Police Kartikeya K. Sharma.
