Patna: Bhojpuri cinema star Pawan Singh is facing public scrutiny after his wife, Jyoti Singh, made a series of emotional pleas on social media, accusing him of ignoring her calls and messages and alleging she has “struggled in this relationship for the last seven years.”
In a post on Instagram, Jyoti Singh shared a photo of her and the actor together, but the accompanying caption revealed a strained relationship. “Respected husband Pawan Singh ji,” she wrote, “I have been trying to talk to you about some family and political issues for many months, but you are not considering it necessary to reply to either my calls or messages.”
She added that she had traveled to Lucknow in an attempt to meet with him, only to be refused. She also claimed her father had made a similar attempt without success.
Jyoti Singh expressed her distress, writing, “I am not able to understand what big sin I have committed that I am being punished so badly. If I was not worthy of you, you would have left me at that time itself.”
Her post took a concerning turn as she spoke of her desperation. “Now I have reached such a point in my life where I can’t think of anything except suicide,” she wrote, though she followed up by saying she would not go through with it. “I will never do this, because this will raise questions on me and my parents.”
Jyoti Singh ended her message with a plea for her husband to acknowledge her. “I request you that if you do not consider me worthy of being your wife, still talk to me once as a human being,” she said. “You have forgiven many mistakes of your opponents. I have been struggling in this relationship for the last seven years, please pick up my call message and reply once. At least sometimes you understand my pain.”
Pawan Singh has not yet commented publicly on his wife’s allegations. The couple, who married in 2018, have been the subject of media attention for some time, with recent events bringing their marital troubles into the public eye.
