Patna: The chairman of RERA Bihar, Vivek Kumar Singh, has urged builders to submit complete documentation with their applications for project registration, warning that incomplete filings are slowing down approvals in the state.
Singh said the number of projects being registered in Bihar remains significantly lower than in other major states. Over the past few months, nearly 100 applications have been rejected due to missing documents, despite multiple opportunities being provided to applicants to rectify deficiencies.
To address the issue, the authority has introduced a new filter system designed to identify gaps in applications at the submission stage. Officials said the system will prompt applicants to complete all required information before proceeding, reducing the likelihood of rejection and expediting the registration process.
The development was discussed at a workshop organised by the authority, which was attended by senior officials including Vinay Kumar, principal secretary of the urban development and housing department. Builders were briefed on the revised application process and common errors that had led to rejections in the past.
Singh also highlighted the availability of a counselling facility aimed at assisting developers. Through this initiative, builders are provided guidance on documentation requirements and procedural steps to ensure compliance.
Officials said the measures are intended to improve efficiency, increase the number of registered projects and strengthen regulatory oversight in the real estate sector.
