Wild Boar Rampage in Bhojpur ,Leaves Several Injured

Patna : Panic gripped three villages in Bhojpur district on Friday evening after a wild boar went on a rampage, injuring more than ten people, including a father and son. The attack, which took place in Ratanpur village under Chandi police station, forced terrified residents to take shelter indoors.
After nearly two hours of struggle, villagers managed to kill the boar, bringing relief to the community.
Sudden Attack Causes Chaos
According to witnesses, the attack began when W Kumar and his father, Punpun Chauhan, were sitting outside their home. Without warning, the boar charged at them, knocking Kumar to the ground before turning on his father. The animal then moved through nearby villages, injuring several others, including 15-year-old Bladder Kumar and 20-year-old Amit Kumar.
Villagers Fight Back
As fear spread, many villagers barricaded themselves in their homes. However, some gathered the courage to confront the animal. After a prolonged struggle lasting nearly two hours, they managed to kill the boar, restoring calm to the area.
Injured Rushed to Hospital
The injured were taken to Ara Sadar Hospital for treatment. Doctors reported that some victims, including W Kumar, sustained serious injuries, particularly to the legs.
Calls for Action
Despite the boar’s death, anxiety lingers in the villages. Residents have urged the forest department to step up monitoring in the area to prevent similar incidents in the future.
