Patna: The Bihar General Administration Department has announced the transfer of six senior IAS officers, with some officials receiving additional responsibilities alongside their new roles.
According to the notification, 1998-batch officer Narmadeshwar Lal has been shifted from his position as Principal Secretary of the Minor Water Resources Department and appointed Principal Secretary of the Sugarcane Industry Department. He has also been handed the additional charge of Investigation Commissioner in the General Administration Department.
In his place, 2008-batch IAS officer B Karthikeya Dhanji has been named Secretary of the Minor Water Resources Department. Dhanji will also continue to hold the role of Secretary in the Industry Department.
The reshuffle marks the latest round of bureaucratic changes as the state inches closer to assembly elections.
