Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary met former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar shortly after returning to Patna from his Delhi visit on Friday.
According to sources, the meeting at Nitish Kumar’s residence lasted around 15 minutes. Discussions reportedly focused on Bihar’s development agenda, key meetings held in Delhi and preparations related to the upcoming Legislative Council (MLC) elections.
Meeting With President Droupadi Murmu
Earlier on Friday, Samrat Choudhary met President Droupadi Murmu in Delhi. Officials said the discussions centred on Bihar’s development and several matters related to the state administration.
Before meeting the President, the Chief Minister also held talks with Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan regarding issues linked to Bihar.

Interaction With Bihar Cadre Officers
On Thursday evening, the Chief Minister met IAS and IPS officers from the Bihar cadre in Delhi. The interaction focused on administrative reforms, governance and development priorities in the state.
During the meeting, Samrat Choudhary said the goal of building a “Developed Bihar” could not be achieved through government efforts alone and required active support from the administrative machinery.
He urged officers to strengthen transparency in governance and ensure that welfare schemes effectively reach beneficiaries.
Focus on Investment and Governance
Sources said the discussions also covered measures to attract investment to Bihar and improve governance systems. The government is currently focusing on creating an investment-friendly environment and accelerating administrative reforms.
Prior to the officers’ meeting, the Chief Minister had also met Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan in Delhi on Thursday. The meeting reportedly lasted around 30 minutes and included discussions on Bihar’s development plans and future priorities.
