Siwan: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday launched a fierce attack on the Congress-RJD alliance during an election rally in Siwan, warning voters not to let “criminals and mafias return to power”.
Speaking at a rain-affected rally in support of NDA candidate and Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey, Adityanath said:
“Under RJD rule, Bihar was in chaos. They worked only for their families. If Congress-RJD wins, they will first snatch your rations, then seize your land in the name of jobs. The criminals are disciples of the Congress-RJD.”
The Chief Minister alleged that the Grand Alliance was attempting to bring back the era of “fear and terror” that once defined Siwan, the home turf of late RJD strongman Mohammad Shahabuddin.

“The mafia wants to return to power,” Yogi said. “The people who made Siwan live in fear should not be allowed to return. India will develop only when Bihar develops.”
Adityanath also took a swipe at RJD candidate Osama Shahabuddin, son of the late don-turned-politician, who is contesting from Raghunathpur. “I came to Raghunathpur two days ago because the mafia is again trying to capture it,” he said.

Highlighting his state’s law-and-order record, the UP CM said:
“In Uttar Pradesh, criminals have been crushed with bulldozers. There are no riots there now, and people live without fear.”
Despite heavy rain that left several chairs empty and Gandhi Maidan waterlogged, the BJP’s local organisers arranged vehicles to bring women supporters to the venue.
Later in the day, Adityanath is scheduled to address rallies in Bhojpur and Lalganj (Vaishali district) to campaign for NDA candidate Sanjay Singh, who faces a tough contest against RJD’s Shivani Shukla.
